Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
