Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence is not the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
