The administration has disclosed the logo and livery for GBR, signifying a major step in its agenda to take the railways back into state hands.
The updated design uses a red, white and blue design to reflect the Union Flag and will be applied on rolling stock, at railway stations, and across its digital platforms.
Significantly, the logo is the iconic double-arrow design currently used by National Rail and first created in the mid-20th century for British Rail.
The implementation of the branding, which was developed internally, is scheduled to take place over time.
Passengers are set to start spotting the freshly-liveried trains throughout the network from next spring.
In December, the design will be exhibited at prominent railway stations, such as Birmingham New Street.
The proposed law, which will allow the establishment of Great British Railways, is currently moving through the House of Commons.
The administration has said it is renationalising the railways so the system is "run by the people, operating for the passengers, not for profit."
Great British Railways will consolidate the operation of passenger trains and infrastructure under a single organisation.
The government has claimed it will unify 17 various bodies and "eliminate the notorious bureaucracy and poor accountability that continues to plague the railways."
The introduction of Great British Railways will also include a comprehensive mobile application, which will let users to check timetables and purchase tickets without surcharges.
Accessibility users will also be able to use the application to arrange help.
Multiple operators had previously been taken into public control under the former government, such as TPE.
There are currently 7 train operators already in public hands, covering about a third of journeys.
In the past year, c2c have been brought into public ownership, with additional operators anticipated to follow in 2026.
"The new design isn't just a paint job," commented the relevant minister. It represents "a fresh start, leaving behind the problems of the past and focused completely on offering a genuine public service."
Industry figures have acknowledged the pledge to bettering the passenger experience.
"We will continue to cooperate with relevant bodies to ensure a seamless handover to Great British Railways," a representative added.
